Zhanna Romualdovna Sladkiewicz is the director of the Institute of Russian Studies and Oriental Studies at Gdansk University (Poland). She also holds the position of Deputy editor-in-chief for the scientific journal "Studia Rossica Gedanensia." Zanna Sladkiewicz is a member of various linguistic associations, including the “Polskiego Towarzystwa Językoznawczego” and “Polskiego Towarzystwa Rusycystycznego”. She has published over 130 publications spanning the fields of Slavic linguistics, communicology, discourse, media linguistics, pragmalinguistics, linguistic and cultural studies, sociolinguistics, linguodidactics, and phraseology.
She is an author of monograph "Political Feuilleton in the Light of the Theory of Speech Influence" (Gdansk 2013). In addition to her academic contributions, Zanna Sladkiewicz is renowned for her expertise in evaluating interdisciplinary grant projects in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences at St. Petersburg University between 2018 and 2019. She is an international expert with the QS Intelligence Unit (QSIU), in cooperation with Russian University of People’s Friendship and Grodno State University named after Ya.Kupala. As a distinguished foreign professor, Zanna Sladkiewicz was invited to Ualikhanov University where she delivered lectures on "Media Linguistics" to both students and faculty members at Pedagogical Institute.
