In 1995, she successfully defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Sciences in Philology at St. Petersburg State University, in 2001 - the thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philology at the same university.
Marina Vladimirovna Pimenova is the author of about 400 scientific works, including 30 monographs, 18 study guides. Marina Vladimirovna Pimenova created four scientific series: "Conceptual Research", "Slavic World", "Conceptual and Lingual Worlds", "Polycultural Language Space in Kazakhstan", within which she published 89 collections of scientific articles, monographs and teaching aids as an executive editor .
Marina Vladimirovna heads the St. Petersburg-Kemerovo Linguistic School of Conceptual Studies. Under the scientific supervision of Professor Marina Vladimirovna Pimenova, 23 dissertations were defended for the degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences and the degree of Doctor of Philology.
Annually, Marina Vladimirovna Pimenova holds scientific events - conferences and Summer Schools in different countries - in Russia, in Ukraine , in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, in which graduate students, doctoral students, teachers from 9 countries (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, India, Korea, China) take part. Lecturers at these Schools are leading scientists from our country, as well as from near and far abroad.
