Laura Manzie completed her Master's degree in the Applied Linguistics and TESOL program at Leicester University (UK) in 2020. She is currently assigned as a senior second language lecturer in English at the School of Arts and Humanities (Nottingham Trent University). Moreover, she is a coordinator for the undergraduate programs specializing in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Laura actively contributes to the Cambridge CELTA program and she is a certified specialist in teaching CELTA and TESOL courses. Her vast knowledge and expertise extend to course creation and the development of educational programs for English language teachers. Laura Manzie played a major role in the establishment of the new BA English and Linguistics degree, modules and assessments at Nottingham Trent University (UK). She was actively engaged in consultations with key internal and external stakeholders. Laura also conducted teacher training for the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) course in Vietnam and successfully led a series of webinars on the platform of British Council teacher education. Additionally, she has made valuable contribution as a member of the leadership team for Athena Swan, a prominent global initiative committed to fostering gender equality in higher education (HE). Laura Manzie's international experience at overseas is noteworthy, including her involvement in the development of an intermediate-level English course at Ventura College in Vietnam. She has also held teaching positions at reputable institutions around the world. In 2008, she served as a lecturer at the School of Business and Institute of Administrative Development of Sri Lanka. Laura also worked as an English teacher at ACE Bondi Junction in Sydney, Australia. In 2010, she joined ILA Vietnam, a leading language organization, as an English teacher. Moreover, since 2013, she has been working at the Westgate Educational Corporation in Japan, as an English teacher. In 2019, Laura worked as an expert of CELTA program in Izmir (Turkey), further highlighting her international experience and diverse background.
